Hotel credit cards are ideal for frequent travelers. Many hotel credit cards come with great perks, like high rewards points and free lodging on your anniversary date. Consider these five hotel cards when looking for a way to save on travel.

1. Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card

Get two points for every dollar spend on an airline ticket that you get directly from a restaurant, car rental company or airline. You’ll also get one point per every dollar that you spend on other purchases. After spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months, you’ll get 80,000 bonus points.

Every year on the anniversary date of opening your account, you can get one night free at a participating location.

There are no foreign transaction fees. The annual fee is $85.

2. Chase Sapphire Preferred Card

sapphire_preferred_cardChase Ultimate Rewards points can have a value of up to 1.25 cents each because you’ll get 20% off whenever you use points when booking travel plans. Points can also be transferred to partners, including Marriott Rewards and Ritz-Carlton Rewards.

There is no annual fee. There is also no anniversary bonus to take advantage of.

3. Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express

This card’s rewards points are called Starpoints and they have a value of approximately 2.3 cents each. For every dollar you spend at participating locations, you’ll get up to 5 Starpoints. If you make up to $3,000 in purchases within the first three months, you’ll get 25,000 in Starpoints. Star points can be transferred to 30 airline partners for miles.

There are excellent travel perks associated with this card, like premium Internet access in hotel rooms and complimentary WiFi at participating hotspots.

4. Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

ventureWhen you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months, you’ll get 40,000 miles, which equals $400 for travel purchases. You’ll get double miles on every purchase. This card has a lot of flexibility because you’re not restricted to a specific hotel brand.

There are no foreign transaction fees. There is no fee for the first year, followed by an annual fee of $59 for every year thereafter.

5. Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard

barclaycardThis card comes with a ton of flexibility, such as never being restricted to a specific hotel. When you make a travel purchase, you can use your miles for a credit. You get two miles for every dollar you spend.

There is 0% APR for balance transfers, but there’s a transfer fee of 3% of your balance. There is no anniversary bonus associated with this card.
